HARD WORK’S THE SECRET—Eighty-two year old Bruce Crayton still gets out with his old mule Pete to plow his vegetable garden on Bishop Street and says he’s been doing that since he was eight years old. Obviously enjoying his task on a warm spring morning, he says that hard work is the secret to his long life. He doesn’t mind stopping to jaw awhile and adds that the rare sight of a man and his mule frequently catches photographers’ eyes.
